This classroom is full of highly energized and diverse young students. We have the unique opportunity to attend a school that is located in the heart of downtown Kansas City, which allows the city to be our campus.
Our goal is to prepare and inspire students to build a better tomorrow by providing an academically rigorous education in a creative, collaborative, community-focused environment.
We hope to achieve this goal through blended learning and co-teaching, which promotes problem solving, communication, and teamwork. We also emphasize creativity and student choice so our students have a voice in their learning. We want our students to be scholarly, culturally literate, and service-oriented individuals who will pursue their dreams relentlessly and have a positive impact on their family, their community, and the world.
The kindergarten team is hoping to create an environment that is appropriate and engaging to our little learners. The furniture in the classroom impacts the climate, flow, and teaching methods we can employ.
Group tables allow students to develop and enhance social skills, communication, and the ability to work effectively in groups; a life skill that is necessary in order to be successful both in school and in life.
These tables will allow us to do all of that and more.
These round and adjustable-height tables utilize the limited space we have in the classroom. Also, by having furniture that was made with the intent of servicing small children, they can feel more comfortable in the learning space.
