This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students love to participate and share their thinking, so providing them with dry erase boards will allow everyone to show what they know!

My class is made up of 22 sweet kindergarten students who are eager to learn and explore!

Our school is a Title 1 school where a majority of the students receive a universal breakfast and a free or reduced lunch. It is amazing to see how excited my students are to come to school and learn every day! Their hands are always raised and they mouths eager to share what they know!

My Project

When we practice things like spelling new words or solving story problems, some of my students lose their excitement when they don't have a chance to share their thinking. These white boards have lines on one side and are blank on the other, so we can use them for all sorts of things! My students can practice writing and solving problems independently on the carpet ( or at their seats), and everyone will get a chance to show what they know!

It is so important for my students to feel validated and encouraged.

I know that having these white boards for each child to use will help improve my teacher feedback and will help the students share all that they know!
