This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As Kindergarteners, my students are just starting their educational journey! They are curious, creative, and enthusiastic learners.

My young scholars work best when they can explore new things and work hands on with materials.

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although not all in the same way. They are still learning which methods work best to their own individual learning styles. As such, I try to incorporate a variety learning strategies, resources, manipulatives, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student gets what they need to be successful!

My Project

My students gather on the carpet for a significant portion of the day. It is a place where we meet together to exchange ideas, to work, and to learn through play and exploration. Most of our instruction takes place on it. The carpet we currently have is old and frayed in spots.

Your donations will go towards purchasing a new carpet to serve as the comfy new epicenter of learning for my students!

The carpet we have chosen has an outside ring for students to gather in a circle for discussion. It also has individual squares so the students each have their own defined space to sit and learn. It is even big enough for my littles to lay on when reading! This new space will will be something my students will use every day!
