This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are twenty-one brilliant scholars attending a high-poverty, Title I elementary school. We are eager to learn and we crave the stability and routine of a healthy school environment. We are engaged in our learning and are striving to become life-long learners.
We come from many diverse backgrounds and cultures and each of us brings a unique and important perspective to our classroom.
We treasure our friendships in teamwork and work hard to build on many important social skills that will help us as we will build relationships in the future.
My Project
We need a writing center and organizers for our writing supplies to become amazing writers in the kindergarten classroom. We need a writing center so that we can have our own designated writing space with shelves for our writing materials. A writing center and organizers will help us develop a love for writing while becoming authors and illustrators as early learners.
A writing center and organizers for our writing supplies will provide us with an space to write stories to help us develop a love for writing.
A writing center will provide a quiet, accessible space for writers to learn. It will allow us to write with a partner and have readily available supplies to edit, revise, illustrate, and publish our writing. Now is the time for our early learners to develop a love for writing!
