My Students

I teach ESL and Inclusion Kindergarten at PS Elementary. I teach students from all over the world. I encourage children to learn by using different hands-on tools to explore different topics in our curriculum. My students do this through working in small groups and using various methods that include: art, writing, math, technology, using trial and error methods. By learning in these ways my students become confident cooperative learners who are not afraid to try new things. I encourage them to do these activities by guiding them through questioning, prompting & positive feedback.

My Project

Kindergarten is a time to create a lifetime of learning and a love of reading. Young children are fascinated with stories. What better way to support their learning than with educational books that they can read over and over in their classroom.

My classroom is in need of books that will support their learning and can be used as a reference for their math and science exploration.

All books chosen are directly related to math and science lessons that are taught. By reading a book before exploration, the children are able to understand the basic concept of the lesson that is being taught before applying hands-on learning in both math and science.
