My Students

My students area diverse group of inner-city Kindergartners. We are an inclusion class all on Virtual School. There are 14 general education students and six kids with IEPs and several medically fragile students who can not attend in-person learning due to health and safety concerns. A third of my students are English Language Learners and for some this is their first formal education setting.

These kids are imaginative, active, magical, creative 4-5 and 6-year olds, who are always ready to learn and play!

They are having to spend a lot of time indoors and away from hands-on learning in a classroom where they receive music, art, movement activities and more!

My Project

This has been a difficult adjustment for kids to have their first year of school be completely online. Kindergarten is such an important special time for families and especially the students. I am excited to develop a special gift to remember their learning.

Kids will be super duper happy to look up at their Kindergarten Photo keepsakes to remember all the learning and JOY they had on ZOOM despite not getting to learn in-person.

This will be a project that both students and families alike will enjoy participating in and saving for years to come.
