Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day.
I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything. I currently teach kindergarten at a K8 center in Miami, FL. My kindergarten class is composed of 32 students, in which five are labeled as ESE students (students with special needs/disabilities) including autism and a student with a brain tumor. All the students are average learners that do not have the resources to facilitate their leaning and enhance their education.
I believe that all students including young learners need to be in motion and engaged so that they can use what they have learned to become independent learner. This will enable the students to learn to work with others in cooperative groups.
My Project
My students are eager to learn and LOVE technology and working in cooperative groups! With the laptop and iPads, the students will be able to work independently and use district wide programs to enhance and facilitate their learning. These materials will help kindergarten students including students with disabilities grasp the learning concepts easier.
Two mini iPads and a laptop will facilitate students with little or no motor skills to be able to show what they know without spending so much time putting it on paper and alleviate frustration.
All of these materials will facilitate in differentiated instruction and small group settings.
