My students are creative, thoughtful and ready to learn! I teach at a public charter school in Chula Vista, California. Many of my students choose to come to our school because traditional public school has left them behind. Our program personalizes learning so students are able to have voice and choice in my classroom. Many of my students are artistic hands-on learners who thrive when they are able to interact with their learning. They are an incredible group of students, and I am so lucky to get to watch them learn and grow in my classroom every day!
My kindergarten students need headphones for our school computers. At the moment I only have 5 pairs of headphones in my kindergarten classroom. As a result, I have to choose between students using the listening center each day or playing phonics and number games on the computer. These 10 pairs of headphones would allow students to use both our listening center and the computers each day. Our listening center allows students to hear different stories read aloud to them each day. Our computer center allows students to play different learning games that will help them learn how to read. These headphones will have a huge impact in my classroom and will help my students learn how to read!
