My Kindergarten friends come to school each and every day to beat what the statistics say about them!
I teach at a Title I school where more than half of our students live at or below the poverty line.
Additionally, more than 20% of our students are learning English as a second language. Despite the fact that they face many hardships outside of the classroom, my students come to school each and every day to feel safe, supported, loved, and ready learn.
My Project
My Kindergarten students come to school eager to learn and try new things every day! While we work on becoming scientists and building our growth mindset on a regular basis, these STEM resources would really help us grow!
My Kindergarteners will be able to grow in their problem solving skills, growth mindset, and in their teamwork and social development skills with these STEM resources!
My students are ready to put in the work and persevere through challenges both in and out of the classroom!
I can't wait to add these Story Books to our classroom library and to share the stories of characters who never give up with my students! I hope to foster a love for learning and curiousity and to show them that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to through the use of the STEM activities! Then, through the writing center materials and organization, my students can document and record their findings and encourage others to be scientists, too! Please help to be a part of their growth in and out of the classroom!
