This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the sweetest! They are so excited about starting kindergarten and want to learn more and more each day they come to school. I am so so proud of how hard they’ve worked over the summer to prepare for kindergarten and are eager to be pushed and learn more this year! My kiddos have such kind hearts and are always there for each other when a friend in our class needs help. I truly believe that they deserve everything great this world has to offer!

My Project

This rug will add so much life and comfort to my students classroom! It will be a place that will be a great meeting area where we can discuss what we’ve learned or read a book comfortably at. This rug will also double as a great teaching aid with learning the letters of the alphabet and numbers! I love that this rug has designated letter or number boxes that each student could sit in so they feel as if they have their own personal space while learning on the floor. I strongly believe having a community place to sit at will encourage my students to be more engaged in their learning.
