My students need letter builders, tracing numbers, dough mats, and other resources to help with kindergarten readiness skills in a fun and engaging way!
Our school serves children ages three to five. Most of our students come from low income areas. Our students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, our students walk into our classroom every day full of life and ready to learn. They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners excited and enthusiastic to start each day. They enjoy being in school because they want to learn about so many new things.
My Project
My students need letter builders, tracing numbers, dough mats, and other resources that will help our students learn about letters and numbers in a fun, engaging way! They will help the kids see learning can be fun! There are so many different learners to reach when teaching. These will help with reaching visual and conceptual learners. Kids will be active with these educational toys and will be learning all about letters, their shapes, and how they sound. We will learn about counting and numbers in fun ways in our classroom areas for example using play dough(while strengthening our fine motor skills) and counting ice cream scoops while scooping a sundae out for a friend. Learning can be fun!
