This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are children who LOVE to learn! They come to school excited about what they are going to learn and accomplish each and every day. Many of my students come from low income homes and are not able to have many enriching experiences outside of the home. The students also come from homes where is English is not their home language.

As their teacher, I want to give them exposure to different activities and opportunities that will leave a significant impression on their lives and education.

I want to provide the best education for my students when they enter my classroom every day.

My Project

The experience of visiting a farm will allow my students to make real life connections to what they have learned in the classroom about animals and farms. They will learn about what life is like on the farm and how hard farmers work each day. We live in a community in which agriculture is common, but my students live in the city and have zero experience or little knowledge of a farm. Students will get the opportunity to visit a place in which they would not have the opportunity to normally visit. They will also be able to participate in some holiday fun outside of the classroom and home. This trip will truly make an impression on their school year and education.
