My Students

Imagine the excitement on the faces of a young child when they see themselves on the television monitor.

Many of my Kindergarten students have limited experiences with technology.

However, like all young children, they love to ask questions and share experiences. With your help, our class would use a digital video recorder everyday to capture our class morning news report.

My Project

Each morning our class has a morning message that includes calendar, weather and special events. With the addition of a digital recorder, the students would be able to record each other and play the recording back to the class on the television monitor. The students would develop both language skills and cooperative learning skills.

It is important that Kindergarten students see the importance of jobs and the ways those jobs affect our community.

This project would help my students relate our class news report the the local news.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
