My students are very creative, loving, and very eager to learn. They love to be read to and they enjoy hands on activities. Many are raised in foster care or in a single parent home, and receive free lunch based on their socioeconomic status.
The students in my classroom are in a low income and high poverty school system.
They are faced with challenges both in and out of the school. Despite these challenges, I am hoping to create a positive learning environment for my students.
My Project
These items will be very beneficial for the students in my classroom. Kindergarten math begins with learning numbers and gaining understanding of numbers. These items will help all the students by allowing them to explore numbers in a variety of fun ways. They will be able to use these in groups or individually.
These items will benefit all of the students every day.
Students will be provided with choices of hands-on learning activities. Student will love having choices and a variety of ways to learn numbers and counting. These items can be used all year in our math learning stations.
