This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This was may very first year teaching and it was the most stressful yet most rewarding couple of months of my life. My students are the most innocent kind hearted kids out there. My kiddos are in kindergarten. The school that I work in provides free breakfast and lunch to the students. The kids that I work with carry a lot with them day to day. As teachers we are not just worrying about their learning, but many times we are questioning if they are eating when they go home.

My kiddos would greatly benefit from this project because it will help set the foundation for learning and early reading.

My Project

My students need letter sound teaching tubs. Learning letter sounds is a huge topic in kindergarten. These tubs are a very visual way for the students to connect the letter to what its sound is. They are able to see what the letter looks like then go through and hold various objects that start with that sound/ letter. There is a letter of the day every day in my classroom so being able to start the day by exploring these tubs is a great wat to make learning fun and hands on. Thank you in advance for donating to my kindergarten classroom.
