My Students

This is my first year teaching in Delaware and I am super excited to meet my new Kindergarteners! I have 16 children in my class. The mission of my district is to Prepare All Students for Success in the 21st Century. This mission starts here- in my classroom! I look forward to developing strong relationships with my children and providing them with a relevant, authentic learning experience. Kindergarten is such a special time and I am thrilled to be a part of it!

My Project

This is my first year teaching Kindergarten and I couldn't be more excited! BUT, we are missing something so important... Books! The most meaningful gift you could ever give a child is a book. We need Kindergarten leveled texts so I can provide my children with the powerful learning experience they so deserve. My project includes leveled readers that are perfect for students to use during our guided reading time and take home for additional practice at night. These are "just right" books, books that empower my students and allow them to recognize themselves as READERS!

This project would allow me to support my Kindergarteners in a way that promotes growth, understanding, and a genuine love for reading.
