Ms. Scott from North Augusta SC is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need the lamination machine so their first set of school work can be saved for years and years. They also need these literacy puzzles to help them learn their high-frequency words.

My new class will consist of 25 students. They will vary from different backgrounds and will be so excited about learning and attending school. My school is considered a critical area needs school. More than 70 percent of my class receives free/ reduced lunch. My previous students loved to read and enjoyed visiting our classroom library and I know that my new kindergartens will also. In the past years, my classroom has enjoyed learning together and building new memories every day. Anyone who walks into our room can sense the bond and family we have created. I know I will have a wonderful group of students who can benefit from this project.
These materials will make a difference in my classroom. Kindergarten is the first time most students receive a structured learning environment. It is my job as an educator to make sure I am doing everything possible to ensure this.
I want my students to be engaged and active participants in my classroom.
These resources will help guide them in their journey of becoming successful students. Learning can be difficult, but I believe with a strong support system, guidance, and beneficial resources they can achieve any task thrown their way. I hope you can find in your heart to help my new kindergarten students.
I will use the lamination machine to make classwork collectible for parents to save throughout the years. I will use the puzzles to help students learn sight words, which helps with reading. The puzzles will be used in daily centers to enhance the students' learning. I will laminate papers throughout the year for my students to take home. This papers will be major crafts, writing papers, or work that can be remembered for years to come.
