My Students

I teach kindergarten at a Title 1 school with grades PK through 5th grade. My students are vibrant 5 and 6 year old kiddos who are full of life and eager to learn. Their love and encouragement for learning helps me strive to be the best teacher.

My Project

Flexible seating in the classroom is a place where rigor is evident in every lesson. It is a classroom with very specific routines and procedures. It is within this structure that children can be more selective as to where and how they learn. It allows for differentiated instruction.

What does flexible seating look like?

It can look different in each teacher's classroom. I would like to add picnic tables and lower my current tables to use with large throw pillows. I also have 2 recliners, scoop chairs, textured floor pads, and clipboards. My goal is to maximize instruction and student success!
