Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are kindergarteners that come to school ready to learn every day. They are bilingual students that live in an impoverished community. Our school is their safe-haven and their chance to become as successful as they can ever imagine.
Our classroom is an inclusive and diverse classroom where we celebrate all of our different abilities, cultures, and languages.
Nothing can stop us from learning something new everyday. We continuously have perfect attendance, we love to see each other every mornings and make every day count.
My Project
Help us be prepared for whatever the year may bring! Online or in-person learning will require some materials to kick-off our year in kindergarten.
We need books that will inspire and motivate us with diverse characters and back-to-school themes.
We also need people colored crayons to help illustrate our diversity more accurately. Paper and printer ink will help keep school and home connections.
Kindergarten teaches us to share with one another but this year is a little bit different. In order to maximize safety, we need materials for individual use: play-doh, play foam, wiki sticks, watercolor paints and write-on pockets.
