My Students

I work in a Title 1 school with approximately 650 students Kindergarten -5th grade. Our school is in a rural community with a diverse population. I teach Dual Language Kindergarten and the majority of my students quality for free or reduced lunch. Half of my student are native Spanish Speakers and half are native English Speakers. This is our first year of having all day everyday kindergarten and I am already seeing the great benefits in this program but we are lacking the funds to buy all of the supplies our students need.

My Project

We have computers and laptops in our classroom for students to login and listen to stories (listening center) and log into their personalized reading lessons. The school district did not supply with us with headphones, and the students need these to login and access our technology. I chose headphones that will fit my students, and that have padding that is not removable to make them last longer.

The headphones I do have do not work or are too big for a Kindergartner's head.

Please help fund this project so our students can use the technology and literacy programs during school.
