Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a class of Kindergarten students who attend from around the entire district. My students come from all socioeconomic backgrounds but have one thing in common...a thirst for knowledge.
Our students live in a semi-rural area with limited opportunities.
Our students attend a Title I elementary school in our district with almost 500 students; 53% of our students receive free or reduced-cost lunch.

All Kindergartners require hands-on experiences to fully engulf their learning retention.
Hands-on learning engages children in problem-solving strategies. It also allows them to develop fine motor skills. The headphones will let students work independently as well as small groups. This will allow me to work individually with students who require specific needs. Games are a fun way to develop fluency in reading. They will be able to practice their letters and high frequency words through fun interactive activities.
