My Students

I teach in at Altitude Elementary School in Aurora, CO. Our school is innovative and amazing. With your help we can continue to learn through project based learning!

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best can greatly vary.

We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!

The students at our school are one of a kind. Every year, I learn to love a different group of kids, but every year, my classes have one thing in common, they are there to learn and grow. If the following items were funded, these kids would be able to access far beyond what I can financially can provide for them.

My Project

At Altitude Elementary, one of the many things that makes us stand out from other elementary schools is the fact that we have genius hour every Friday. What is genius hour? It is a time for kids to be creative, solve problems, and work together! It is one of my students favorite times of the week!

With these supplies, students will have every material they will ever want or need at the tip of their fingers.

If they want to create a car, they will have buttons, paper, and craft sticks if that is what they had in mind for their creation. Maybe they had a different idea in mind, they will be able to use hole punchers, paint, or glitter! They will have a cart and containers to store all of their supplies to also reinforce organization and responsibility skills.
