My students need Osmo Kits to develop problem solving skills using technology!
This project expired on September 6, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students live in a rural community of about 2,000 residents. They may not realize it yet, but they are growing and learning in a very supportive and tight-knit community that cares about each of them. In my classroom, I have 15 kindergartners of varying social, emotional, and academic needs. They are creative, clever, and spontaneous! They have so much excitement for school and learning; it makes my job so enjoyable! My students are unique individuals with unlimited potential. It is my job to ignite their excitement for learning so they can reach their full potential!
My students need an Osmo Genius Kit, Osmo Coding Kit, and an Osmo Pizza Co. Kit to develop foundational problem-solving skills that incorporate technology. The Osmo kits will help my students develop an array of skills including counting and number sense, word building, problem-solving with shapes, coding, and money identification and making change. The kits will be set up as a center during our math block.
The Osmo kits allow students to play beyond the screen by using hands-on manipulatives with an iPad.
In today's world technology is everywhere and it is something kids need to be exposed to; however in education we know that students learn best with hands-on interactive learning. The Osmo kits bring technology and hands-on learning together to optimize student learning! Additionally, the Osmo kits support essential problem-solving and STEM skills that students need to be successful in today's world. Thanks for helping my students get the materials they need to become critical thinkers!
