Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a room full of five and six-year-old kindergarten students. My students come from economically disadvantaged homes and struggle with many things. While at school, I want them to have what is necessary to keep them functioning in the classroom.
My Project
Kindergarten is the first grade of elementary school. Many students that enter kindergarten have never been to school before. They may or may not have siblings, therefore upon entering the classroom for the first time, they may not know how to get along with others. With this fully funded project, my students will play together. I sing these tools to develop social skills that they may not have had before. During the colder winter months, indoor recess is a must. Students need to work and play together, and these supplies will help immensely!
