My kindergarten class is full of energetic, happy go lucky students that LOVE to learn and grow. They are eager to be able to read and write and truly enjoy seeing each other in our hybrid class or on zoom each day.
We are in a kindergarten to 5th grade building in the suburbs of Newark, DE.

My Project
The books, engagement packs, phonics building kits and dry erase boards will allow my kindergarten students a chance to actively participate in meaningful learning activities. These kits will provide our classroom an arrangement of chances to help make learning amazingly FUN each day!
The manipulatives requested will help to ensure that the students are actively learning and excited to be participating in our classroom lessons.
These fabulous resources will help improve my students' learning outcomes during this pandemic and beyond by providing families and students a chance to work with materials other than paper and pencil. Students will have an opportunity to take home the materials and share with their families which will provide extra practice for the students as well.
When students have a chance to explore by using hands on activities, their success rate increases and they retain more information. Research shows that when we afford time in our day to our young students to be able to move, work with and manipulate parts/pieces it helps them to retain new information. It is my hope that with these resources below, I will be able to help my students gain and improve in their language abilities/sight word recognition and more. By including kinetic, visual and auditory components, I believe I can reach all of my kindergarten students.
