My classroom is in need of some materials to actively engage my students in learning the basic skills in math and reading.
My students are eager kindergartens with a big imagination and curiosity about the world around them.
They need a lot of hands on materials to engage them in learning their numbers and letters. That is why I chose "Linking Letter Monkeys". I chose "Literature Based Learning Centers" because it engages the students in stories that captivate them. The "Number and Counting File Folder Game" will help children with their basic math concepts. We will build on this to eventually learn how to read and do some basic addition and subtraction.
My Project
The resources I am requesting are mainly station games to give students time to practice and improve their skills. Some of the materials will help the students learn their alphabet, beginning and ending sounds of words. Other materials help the students count, learn their shapes and about measurement.
This project is important to me because it will help my students achieve success in the classroom.
It will motivate learning and inspire active engagement in the skills needed in kindergarten.
