We have an amazing classroom filled with 24 energetic kindergartners eager to learn. My students come from a variety of economic backgrounds, as well as several different languages spoken in their homes.
The diverse backgrounds of my students require a great deal of differentiated instruction and personalized learning activities to meet their individual needs.
In our classroom, we have learners who love technology and learning about the world. They love to have current learning tools in order to build their understanding of the standards we explore together!
In this high-tech world, I want to give my kindergarteners their first experience with coding. The Bee-Bots are colorful and engaging to peak my five year olds interest in the coding world. If I can develop this skill early in their primary years, they may possibly choose a career in technology in their futures. This set of 6 Bee-Bots and their docking station gives my students many opportunities to use the coding Bee-Bots at our learning centers, STEAM parent engagement events, and cross grade-level PBL (project based learning) activities we have planned this year. When this project gets funded, I will be very excited to share this experience with my kindergarteners!
