Our school is a diverse one filled with passionate students, families, and staff. It is a school-wide Title I school that supports and develops an average of 400 students.
The school is made up of a diverse group of students from different languages and backgrounds.
This diversity makes our school a unique place to learn and work.
Our mission is to pursue knowledge, strive for excellence, and to model an attitude of contribution and gratitude, both individually and as a community.
Organization and structure is key to a successful Kindergarten classroom. Students learn this first year in school how a typical classroom is run, organized and structured. Currently my students have a classroom that has materials throughout different parts of the room; due to lack of organization shelves. It is also difficult to meet with my students in a structured small group setting due to our lack of a proper table.
My students are noticeably more focused on the current lessons and are more success in their independent work if they have an organized and structured environment.
The items that I have selected, shelves and a small group table, would help me not only create more structure within the classroom; but they would also help the students stay organized and be more successful within the classroom.
