Have you ever seen how excited kindergarten students are about school? Every day there are new things to learn. Kindergarten students need to celebrate some of the important events in their lives.
My students are eager learners!
Each day they come with so many questions and want answers. We live in a big city, but can see farms and cows very close to our school. The school is in an older community, and some families have been here a long time. Other families are new to the area. I live in the area, and my children went to school here when they were younger. My students come from varied backgrounds, but they are all enjoying learning together in class.
My Project
I like my students to be able to celebrate. When it is their birthday, each student gets to wear a birthday crown. This makes them feel special. They also get a sticker and a birthday certificate. On the 100th day of school we do several activities to celebrate. They count 100 beads and make a necklace. They love to wear their 100th day crown and glasses. They get a certificate at the end of the day. At the end of the year, I like to give them kindergarten graduation certificates. This makes them feel so grown up! After all, the saying goes "Everything I ever needed to learn, I learned in kindergarten!" We also need some paper to practice writing.
Students who enjoy school will want to be at school.
Students who enjoy school will try hard to be successful in school. Making school a little more fun and giving students a reason to celebrate helps motivate students. I enjoy making my students happy and feeling special. Thank you for helping my class.
