More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households

My students need these carpet squares to have a carpet to sit on to learn about personal space.
My students are very energetic children. I teach Kindergarten in a low social economic, high transit public school. I currently have 21 students.
At this time, my students are having to sit on a blanket that I brought from home. It works for sitting on, but not for playing. It always moves as the children walk around it. I have tried to Velcro it to the carpet, but the Velcro does not stay on the blanket very well. They deserve a carpet that is going to allow them the freedom to walk and not trip.
My children need to learn about personal space and feel a since of what belongs to them. These carpet squares would help them to have that as well as allow us to play games in the classroom with a semi-permanent carpet.
By helping to purchase this carpet, my students will not only learn about personal space, and be able to play games safely, but they will also have their letter names and sounds reinforced every time they come to the carpet.
