I teach kindergarten to twenty-three of the sweetest, most loving, caring, and smartest 5-year-old kids. They love coming to school to learn and to be part of something special. I strive to make each day the best ever.
My favorite thing about teaching kindergarten is that every day is a new day, and they are so full of wonder!
I've taught at the same school for the past twenty-three years, and it is the same school I attended as a child. Every year I am given the best class and this year is no exception! I call them my Rockstars, and I hope that they know how much I love having them in my class!
My kindergarten students love building and I am requesting more building materials so that we can do just that. Our school is one of the only few STEAM certified elementary schools in our area and the engineering process is a part of our weekly curriculum. My students will be able to design, create and improve on the structures that they will build with these blocks.
"Build what you want to see in the world." This quote by Jack Dorsey reiterates what I want for my 5 year old students.
I want them to be imaginative and build their dreams. I want them to know that they can achieve all that they hope to. Hands-on materials are so important for young children for their fine motor skills and this project will give them the opportunity to not only work on that, but have fun as they do so.
