My Students
My Students are active, imaginative, Kindergarteners who are full of light and love. Our program focuses on storytelling, meaningful work, and the importance of play. Much of our learning is experienced through our head, hands, and heart.
I have 38 Students who spend much of their time freely playing, singing, painting and exploring the natural world.
We are lucky enough to live near nature trails and we spend much of our time hiking and exploring. Our students learn from the teachers example of how to properly care for your surroundings.
My Project
It is my aim to become more fluid in the ways of teaching through a slower, more holistic philosophy. Teaching that engages the head, heart and hands involves many layers of effectively connecting with the child.
I need a rich library of resource books so that I can engage my class in appropriate songs and games that meet their individual development level. My classes are very excited about learning, and they love seasonal songs, rhymes, and movement exercises that keep them breathing in a healthy way.
I will use these resource books to enliven my curriculum with seasonally changing craft, songs, and stories throughout the year.
I would use the Ukelele to learn new songs in the song books. Working with a resource library that is rich with inspiring stories and advice from seasoned teachers, my classroom will surly benefit.
