This is my 8th year and I have the honor to teach 27 energetic, talented and curious kindergarten students! These students contribute to the success of our school, which is surrounded by a strong, involved and diverse community.
My students are always seeking to discover something new and investigate a topic further.
There is a wide range of learners in my classroom including English Language Learners, students with special needs and so much more in between! Each student learns in a different way and technology can open so many doors for all students to be life long learners!
My Project
A 65" smart TV in our classroom will enable us to see, hear, and move while learning about science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). Various apps within the Smart TV will allow my students to make connections by viewing clips and tutorials about our curriculum.
A smart TV will enable my entire class to access the action, motion, and sound they need to make STEAM activities come to life.
This will enable us to access all of the technology currently available through my school district, resulting in a seamless transmission of educational videos, interactive apps, and student produced content.
In our current classroom, we have a document camera with an outdated projector and pull-down screen. The colors are dull and the students lack the experience of a 21st century classroom and the opportunities it can afford us.
A mounted Smart TV in the classroom will allow my students to engage in curriculum in new, meaningful ways and learn about the possibilities of technology in education. Providing a SMART TV for our young learners will bring our subjects to life!
