Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is going to be a great year for my kindergarten students. They will learn their ABCs, numbers, how to read and write, and how to make new friends. Some of my students come into kindergarten with no English language, and they leave my class reading. 75% of the students at my school qualify for free lunch. Every student also qualifies for free breakfast every day. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so we need to make sure every student has eaten breakfast and are ready to learn. My school is full of great students, parents, teachers, staff, and administration. We work together to make sure each child is getting the best education they can!
My Project
My students absolutely love to learn and love everything about school. They also like having fun while learning. These great games will not only be fun, but a great learning tool. Right now, we are learning how to blend CVC words. This CVC touch and match game is great for the students to be able to point to each letter, blend the sound, say the word, and match the picture.
Fishing is always fun, but fishing for sight words is even better!
My students are on their way to learning all the kindergarten sight words. This game will not only help them learn the words, but reinforce the words they have already learned.
