This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach kindergarten as part of a magnet program which focuses on civic engagement. My students are eager to learn, curious, and creative. They love any chance to work together in a group and create things. My students learn so much through play. Through the COVID pandemic so much has changed for my students.
My Project
Students need time to be outside and an opportunity to learn through gardening. These materials will help my students create a wonderful outdoor area where our class along with others can go to learn surrounded by a child friendly garden.
These materials will help provide outdoor seating and gardening tools for our classroom garden.
My students LOVE gardening and learning outside. The materials in this project will allow us to create an outdoor classroom in an unused area of our school. We will use the tools to build gardens around the benches in the garden. Help us better our school through this project!
