My students are like all teacher's students - amazing. Our school is located in a small town in south-central Oregon just outside of Klamath Falls.
We have a large population of Native American children.
We are a 100% free or reduced-price lunch school, that also serves many military families. This is a point of pride for me as I am a former Marine. We are a PBIS school and have an amazing, caring staff that all take pride in being Panthers.
My Project
With a raised flowerbed, my students will be able to plant flowers and monitor their growth. This interactive science lesson will also double as a place to read.
We are second-graders who need a kinder garden.
Having a great clean place to sit, and observe the plants, read, write and be inspired will take us to a higher place. My students will be outside in the fresh air. They can learn about the plant's life cycle, as well as, about the responsibility it takes to grow healthy plants. I am excited to get to share my love of plants with them- and my love of my students, with the plants. ( Just like kids, plants grow better if you talk to them... )
