My Students

My Kindergarten Scholars are my Super Heroes! When Hurricane Harvey struck our community they questioned the devastation it brought to their families and hardships of boat rescue efforts and this is why they are my Inspiration for they have proven their resilience and remain optimistic through their recovery process. They are true millennial pioneers that have initiated a mindset of pursuing and exceeding their potential no matter what type of setbacks or obstacles they encounter.

My Kindergarten scholars are inquiry based learners, scientists, mathematicians, and engineers who have the energy and drive to exceed expectations and to overcome low socio-economic statistics that our students are not supposed to succeed but if you took one step into our classroom you can see curiosity that drives them naturally.

My students attend a Title I school and more than 80% receive free lunch and free breakfast is offered to each student. As their Bilingual Education Teacher, I am their voice and will always advocate to close the learning gap and help my students succeed despite the low socio-economic school population. Their creativity, drive for knowledge, and determination to overcome all obstacles is why they deserve much more than what they have.

My Project

My students have explored the design process and applied math, science, engineering, and technology, but reality is that I cannot offer my students a 1:1 Student ratio for an Innovative technology tool on a daily basis.

In today’s modern society so many of our nation’s students face countless adversities as well as dropout rates on the rise as corporations and business leaders are demanding that schools prepare better-educated graduates for tomorrow’s workforce.

Technology is evolving, and at a record pace, what was not possible yesterday can be a reality and within reach today-Thanks to your generosity and good heartedness and dedication. With your help this technology will allow the class to create multimedia resources to learn STEM. The students will create high quality output projects and will use project based STEM learning through the office software apps that utilize activities and STEM events for the entire class. The technology will enhance learning in the classroom and spark new interests in the field of STEM Innovation.

Let’s bring to life what the brightest minds of our 5 yr old Scholars—Graduating class of the Year 2029 are capable of, so that they may both in the near and long term shape our collective energy future.
