This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

After Covid, we have been seeing behaviors and deficiencies that we have never seen before in education. Students are needing more opportunities to play, explore, and learn to interact with peers.

Many kindergarteners are coming into school for the first time and are learning to interact with other children for the first time.

This means that as teachers we are having to shift our expectations and structure of our classrooms.

These collaborative centers give students an opportunity to learn multiple skills. Students are learning how to problem solve and are learning academics while also being given the space to be taught how to self-regulate, learn behavior control, and develop social skills in a safe and engaging way.
