My Students

All of my students have a love for learning and discovering new things! They love challenging, hands-on experiences that keep them engaged. My students inspire me each day with their ambition to show their best work and bravery to take on new challenges. Investing in children is important because they are the light of our future.

Jay Weatherill explained it best by saying, "I believe that investing in our children's development from the earliest age is the single most important contribution we can make to the health and well being of our citizens, their capacity and the future prosperity of our state."

My Project

Some kindergarteners struggle with expressing their emotions during difficult situations or moments of uncontrollable changes. This may result in outburst of anger, frustration, or sadness. By adding this corner to our classroom, students will have a safe place to learn how to regulate their emotions and I believe, it will prevent or reduce behavior outbursts!

All students need a safe and encouraging atmosphere to find coping skills.

Our classroom calming corner will have sensory balls, fidget monsters, sensory circles, sensory beads, and sand timers. All of these items will provide a calming atmosphere in our classroom for all students.
