My students need art supplies, like markers, paper, wiggly eyes, crayons, tagboard, frames, and more. We would love to have art supplies that our district cannot get for us.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember art time in class? I certainly do. It was the highlight of my day. I loved creating something with my hands and imagination. I want my students to feel that same enthusiasm and enjoyment about art time.
My students live in a low socio-economic neighborhood and cannot afford to purchase arts & crafts materials at home.
I have often given my students glue and crayons to take home, just so they can complete their homework. My students love coming to school and I want to look forward even more so on art days, with some great new supplies!
My Project
All of the art supply materials would be used immediately. There is always a need for an art project with holidays, journal writing, and pretty soon Mother's Day and Father's Day. I remember how happy and proud I was when I created, in my mind, a magnificent project for my mom or dad. The multicultural colored pencils and markers will be a big hit since the primary colors we are provided with are sneered upon by my kinder students when they want to color the faces of their characters. They constantly tell me that they need "skin" color for their journal writing and art projects. Hopefully now, they will get their "skin" color.
The much needed and wanted art supplies will be used immediately and put to good use on the many projects that lie ahead.
