My students need a Power Max II Glass Grinder, a Scorer/Breaker tool to cut and shape glass, and Studio Pro Breaker/Grozer Pliers to design glass art.

My students are enthusiastic learners. They love hands-on projects. We are unique because our projects are academically challenging. Kids know they must develop competitive strategies and teamwork to succeed.
Our students show grit because they DARE to be themselves; no matter the physical, mental, or social challenges impacting them daily.
My mission is to serve students by providing clear career path ways.
My students are quirky, spontaneous, dynamic and gifted. Our school embraces the unique, the odd, the original. Students aren't viewed as disadvantaged. Our students step up and stand out. Our school recognizes that talent comes in many guises. My students need your help to continue fighting the odds. Help me keep expectations high; even in the face of adversity. Students need to know that failure is really adjustment time.
I am excited that my students want to learn glass art. I found a local artist who is skilled at designing glass jewelry. Barbara Roth from Veronica's Glass Jewelry, will work with students to teach them the trade of glass art. Students will work in teams using scoring boards, scoring pens, breakers, nippers, a grinding machine and the kiln. Each week students will design, shape, cut, grind and bake small art pieces. Barbara Roth will also assist students in creating more in-depth techniques to help students refine their own art and turn it into jewelry. Finally, students will learn about the business portion of selling art. Students will have an opportunity to make and sell their art during career day. This project will provide a pathway to a career. I appreciate you providing my students with this excellent opportunity to shine.
