Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 12, sometimes 13 special needs students in a Title I school on the Lower East Side. All of my students have different levels of disabilities that need to be taught using differentiated teaching.
All of my wonderful students have the desire to learn just like their general education peers.
They try hard on a daily basis and want to do well educationally, emotionally and behaviorally. They celebrate their successes and know when they need extra support to help meet their needs.
My Project
Laminating sheets will help center games last longer throughout the year. The students will be able to use these games and get as messy as they want because they are protected by the plastic. The center games help my students memorize and process their basic facts and big ideas. They will be able to access and use these tools to help learn daily. When they create a great piece of art work, I will be able to laminate it and they can keep it for a long time.
The laminating sheets will allow me to keep the literacy center, math center games and their fabulous art last longer.
Help us to save paper and ink while protecting our fun games!
