My Students

Our school closed its doors over a month ago, and adjusting to distance learning has been challenging for students, families, and staff alike. Our school community is strong, and we prioritized assessing student and family needs. We are continuing to evaluate what our students and families need to have their physical, social, and emotional needs met during this challenging time.

My Project

Body movement is so important for students' mental and physical health during the shelter in place order. During normal school times, students have access to regular physical education and team sports that keep them engaged with each other.

This project will both promote the connection that comes with team sports as well as the mental and physical benefits of physical activity while students are required to stay at home.

The jump ropes will go to students who need equipment in order to participate in sports at home. The gift cards will be PBIS incentives for students to participate in the challenge! It is so important to keep our students engaged in school during distance learning.
