My Project

This project is not just for my students, but for any child in our school who is food insecure. These kids receive regular breakfast and lunch at school. Dinner and weekend meals are questionable. Food is more important for these families than buying school supplies. As you can imagine, the demands on these children are great and overwhelming.

Without a school planner, the children in Project Backpack struggle to stay organized, and miss deadlines for homework, projects, and even studying for tests.

Last year we were able to provide the children in this program with a school planner and it made a world of difference for many of the children.
