My Students
Students at WGS love to play outside for recess. We are in the process of extending the playground and making it handicap accessible. Around 400 students from K-8th grade share the playground. Our students are very creative in their play. They love to get out of the classroom to play. Some students love to play on the play set and others enjoy games like kickball, basketball, hula hoop, and other fun games. Burning off some energy is the best thing for our learning!!!
My Project
Research shows that children need to take a break from learning and the best way is to get them outside to play. Our school is in the process of extending our playground. We are adding 2 new basketball goals and a surface to our play set. Our students need toys to play with outside. They enjoy getting a game of kickball or basketball going with their friends. I have picked out basketballs, playground balls, soccer balls, and other outdoor games. These items will keep the kids engaged with play. Students will have to work together and socialize while having fun at the same time.
