My Students

My students come from an urban area with diverse backgrounds, so they are facing the challenge of learning English as well as maintaining their home language. This can be frustrating for anyone, so it is highly important that they are afforded a classroom environment that promotes their learning and well being.

They are enthusiastic, ambitious, and motivated learners.

I wish for each one of my students to have the opportunities that they so rightfully deserve in an environment that provides ample and worthwhile learning experiences.

My Project

The students in my class are an artistic group of children. Each child has their own unique style. One of the most popular centers in my classroom is the Art Center. This is where their imagination and creativity are brought to life onto paper, clay doh and so much more. I have requested sand art bottles for my class, so that they can create various color patterns as they pour sand into the bottles.

Art is where my students become independent artists.

The foam shapes and craft sticks will be used for my students to create two-dimensional work onto paper or free standing three-dimensional art work, such as buildings, trees or whatever their heart desires. The storage containers will be used to store the materials. I want my students to have the materials needed to create artwork that expresses their thoughts, ideas and ingenuity.
