Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come to school every day with a smile on their face and ready to learn, despite the many challenges they face. What I respect most about them is their positive attitude and willingness to do their best. They are inquisitive and love to explore to feed their thirst for learning. They are told every day how amazing they are and how proud I am.
I teach in a Title I school where the population is mostly high/poverty/ low-income with students from all walks of life.
They want to come to a school where they know they are loved, safe and have consistency in their lives-- this is their home. I am an advocate for them each and every day. Every child deserves the best opportunity to be the best they can be.
My Project
In kindergarten it is crucial for students to be exposed to technology in their every day learning. With technology in the classroom student engagement is increased and students have the opportunity to learn at their own pace. These iPads help differentiate learning and allow all levels of learners to be active in class.
Students that are in a title 1 school aren't exposed to educational technology at home, these iPads will allow students to have the opportunity to use technology everyday for learning.
These iPads will be used for math and literacy centers and small group instruction. These iPads will create an independent learning environment.
