Our students are from a diverse and beautiful community of learners. They are artists and readers and scientists and mathematicians. We are a Title I school and many of our students are asylum seekers and recent immigrants, and our school helps them learn to adjust and thrive.
Many of our students don't have bookshelves or own books, so the library is essential.
Through the magical world of books, students can share their learning with their families and community to truly thrive.
These books will be out ALL the time in our library. They are superhero books featuring some of their favorite characters, but these have a focus on character education.
Superheroes can be positive role models, and these easy reading books will inspire students to be real life superheros by being kind, trustworthy, caring and responsible.
I am always being asked about super hero books, but I only select the best ones that encourage kindness and are not violent. This is a new series that actively promotes good character traits, and I would love to be able to share these titles with some of our beginning readers. They are high interest and beneficial to the community.
