My Students

Do you remember ever doing an activity where you had so much fun, you didn't realize until the end that you were sweating and out of breath? Well, it does not happen very often and my students need all the motivation they can get to improve their aerobic fitness.

Welcome to my Physical Education class!

My students are eager to try new activities. Most of them come from challenging and poor home situations, which can take an affect on their character. Our school also has many transient students that are always coming and going. Many of them do not have opportunities for quality play and sports. I try to provide them with the best program possible, which includes a variety of physical activities, fitness, team work games,making connections, etc.

My Project

The resources of these tinikling bands will improve my students' learning in many ways. They will be able to try a new activity and also work on their aerobic fitness. They also learn about how tinikling dance originated from the Philipines and how it is done today. They will be able to work in small groups to practice taking turns and good communication. I want my students to come away from their Physical Education experience well rounded, and these tinikling cords will help them with that goal.

This request will make a difference to the 500+ challenging students that I teach every week.

Overall aerobic fitness, improved rhythm, and practicing teamwork will be achieved from this donation.
