If you came into my classroom you would see that my students are hard-working, committed, and passionate about learning. Being a teacher at a Title I school in a small town, my students have limited resources to help increase their knowledge about different diversities, cultures. They face many challenges both in and out of the classroom.
I want my students to have the UNICEF Kid Power Bands so that they can feel empowered in knowing that they are helping to save lives.
I want students to understand that no matter what their age or where they come from that they can make a difference in the world.
According to Unicef Kid Power instills awareness, empathy and grit in children, qualities that are critical to their social and emotional development. With this lifesaving impact, kids become more aware of the world around them, and are empowered to solve the challenges they face in their own communities.
This project will allow my students to not only get physically healthy through fun challenges but will also them to make a contribution to society.
My students want to make a difference in the world by helping other children receive much needed food packets. UNICEF Kid Power Bands will help us achieve this goal by sending food packets to hungry kids for every power point we earn!
